Craftsman Updates Features in NEXTEC G2 Hammerhead™

Two
years ago, Craftsman released the first-generation NEXTEC Lithium-ion
12-volt Hammerhead™ Auto Hammer. This year the compact hammering tool
is available with many new updates in its second generation
(G2) configuration. It has a more compact body and overmolded grip for
added user comfort. The head now articulates to three positions: 90,
45 and 0 degrees (in line) in order to drive common and finishing
nails up to 3-1/2 inches long more effectively in confined
workspaces. An LED worklight brings illumination to the nailing zone,
and a magnetic sleeve will hold a nail for positioning before driving
it. The tool delivers 3,600 impacts per minute; an electric brake
stops the hammering action instantly when the trigger is released.
One 12-volt battery comes with the Auto Hammer, and a NEXTEC
Quickboost™ charger will replenish it from a discharged state to
25 percent recharged in three minutes or fully replenished in 30
minutes. The G2 Hammerhead Auto Hammer, battery, charger and carry
case are available now as a kit for $99.99.
