Let’s face it; these are tough economic times, and for many of us, that means putting off major purchases that are not critical. But for those of us who love our woodworking hobby, a weak economy might just be the ideal time for bargains. Is there a quicker way to sand the many spindles on chair backs and legs other than the old-fashioned way?
When making raised panel cabinet doors, I created a void where the biscuit was too close to the end of boards being glued together. Can I salvage them?
I left some milled four quarter maple in a basement shop in New England during the winter with the heat off. Upon my return, the boards were no longer flat. Could repeated warming and cooling of the shop air have played havoc with my lumber? |

Nathan Hunter certainly got an early introduction to woodworking, and eventually became a designer and builder of fine furniture. However, that does not mean there was a straight path from his first exposure to his current love. Music and film both got in their licks before woodworking managed to lure him back. |
