A Nail You Can't Put Down from Wood Skinners

Online message board threads often lead to good advice on methods. – Editor

"What's the best way to hide nail heads when installing molding? There must be a better way than what I am doing." – Haywood

"Look into one of those ultra-thin brad nailers. They use a finer wire brad that leaves a smaller head and hole. I have one and love it." – Hugo

Now and again, though, someone tips off his fellow readers to a really nifty product that they may not have seen. – Editor

"There is something much better. It is called 'The Invisible Nail.' I first saw them demonstrated at a woodworking show, and true enough, the things are actually invisible. I guess they are made of some clear space age plastic, sort of like a rigid version of fishing line. Check out their web site at www.invisiblenail.com." – Ron

I never heard of such a thing. Has anyone else used them, and are they really that good?" – Anne

Another user pointed out what seems like a fairly serious problem. – Editor

"I have used them. They are pretty slick, all right. The only problem I have been having is if you put one down on the table, it is impossible to find because it is completely invisible. I've lost a lot of nails that way." –  Erin
