Q: Can I use half-inch copper water line to run an air supply line about 45 feet?

Carol Reed: Yes.

John Brock: Hard-drawn rigid copper tubing is available in grades strong enough for compressed air. Having said that, I'd consider using "black" gas pipe for the lower cost. Copper is pretty precious these days.
