Barbecue Meets Band Saw

To trim workpieces that are too small to handle safely on the band saw, I made a simple parts holder by cutting the metal loops off the end of a pair of barbecue tongs and replacing them with wooden jaws. With these tongs in hand, it’s easy to cut even tiny parts, and my fingers are never near the blade. - Alfred DeVries, El Cajon, California
