It's time for me to get ready for some serious road rash! This coming Saturday (September 16th), I -- along with my trusty photographer, Donna Chiarelli -- will board a plane headed for China. It will kick off two weeks of traveling from tool-making plant to tool-making plant to see how our favorite woodworking tools are made. The trip will be a challenge. I won't stay more than a couple of days in any one place, and I am flying on airlines with names like "Outer-East-Mongolian Airline and Storm-Door Company." Even so, I know that many of you would like to be going with me. Well, I have great news: you are invited … virtually, that is. Just click over to the Woodworker's Journal Asia Travel Blog for daily updates and images of my trip. (www.woodworkersjournal.com/asia).

I will do my level best to make sure that the blog is as entertaining as it is informational. I am sure that the trip will be a big adventure (which, as Frodo's companion, Samwise Gamgee, came to understand, "An adventure is just something terrible happening to someone else!").

So I really must run. I've got tons of things to do before I go. But be sure to stop by the blog and see what sort of trouble I've gotten myself into.

See you on the web!,
