My wife has a knack for finding something she likes in the Pottery Barn catalogs and tells me she would like me to make something like that.  Our most recent project (I've had about five projects start with that catalog so far) is a buffet table for our living room.  I used Aspen with a Pecan stain.  The table in the catalog had drawers, but I am not a big fan of building drawers.  So, I decided to keep the look of drawers, but make the front into a fold down entry to a storage cabinet.  This buffet has given us space to hide things in the living room as well as stack books on top.  FYI, the wooden bowls on top have been turned by me also on my wood lathe.
