About a year ago my daughter asked me to make a Captain's bed for her and her husband. After about 2 months of designing I got final approval. I worked evenings and weekends (I still work full time at another job) it was finally completed and delivered on Father's Day weekend in Phoenix, about a 8 hour drive. It is constructed of Red Oak with a cherry stain with Wipe-On-Poly, the drawers are Baltic Birch with MDF for the drawer frames and other support pieces that cannot be seen when assembled. It breaks down into 4 pieces, Headboard, Footboard and 2 Drawer Boxes for moving.
