Woodworking
may involve the use of many bits and blades, but often a good set of
wrenches come in handy, too. Whether you're installing casters on a
shop cart or assembling a table saw, consider Craftsman's new 7-piece
Universal Ratcheting Wrench Sets for these sorts of jobs. One end of
each wrench is box-style, with a universal tooth design that can grip
six different types of nuts or bolts, including 6-point, 12-point,
partially rounded, external TORX, square and spline.
The ratcheting
action, of course, enables you to reposition the wrench on the
fastener for loosening or tightening without lifting it off. Flip the
wrench around and you have a reinforced open end that resists tip
spreading under high torque. A thick, rounded beam and matte surfaces
give these tools a non-slip grip, and high-contrast markings make
them easier to identify in the tool drawer. Craftsman's Universal
Ratcheting Wrenches come in two sets: standard, in sizes ranging from
5/16" through 11/16", as well as metric, with 10mm through 17mm
wrenches included. Either set includes a reusable caddy and retails
for $49.99. Find them at Craftsman.com or at Sears and Kmart stores
nationwide.
