Easy Screwdriver Identification Do you keep a set of tools in a tool bin?  I do and most of the small hand tools are upright.  Storing screwdrivers that way makes it impossible to determine which is slotted and which is Phillips tipped.  For light handled ones, use a permanent black marker on the end to clearly identify the type.  For dark handled ones, use some light colored paint. - Tim Gales
