Getting Maple Cabinets to Match Countertop

Q: We just put in new maple kitchen cabinets and plan to finish them ourselves. What color finish should I use so that they go with our counter tops? The counters are Formica®.
Tiffany Lamb: I would go with natural stain.
Al Pacca: Golden oak is what I would choose.
