In response to customer inquiries for a wide jointer without an overly long footprint, Grizzly now offers the G0706: it's a 12" jointer with a combined table length of just 60." The machine's 3hp motor drives an indexed cutterhead that's outfitted with 60 carbide inserts. Each insert has four sharp edges that can be loosened and rotated to a fresh edge without extra knife-setting hassles. A serpentine belt between the motor and cutterhead ensures smoother power transfer. The jointer's cast-iron infeed and outfeed tables are parallelogram-style and stress-relieved for added accuracy, and they can be adjusted independently with two front-mounted hand wheels. Its cast-iron fence has positive stops at 45°, 90° and 135°.
