Infinity Double-flute Keyhole BitIf you're planning on hanging homemade picture frames or shelving units this holiday season, a keyhole bit in your plunge router can create a sturdy and hidden attachment point for these items. Infinity Cutting Tools has just added a new double-flute 1/2-in. shank Keyhole Bit (item 50-504) to its existing line of single-flute keyhole cutters. This one creates a 1/2-in. entry hole and mills a 1/4-in.-wide slot to suit larger shank screws. The cutter is made of carbide, which should ensure long life. The company also offers a 1/4-in. shank carbide bit that cuts a 3/8-in. entry hole and 3/16-in. screw shank slot (50-001; $10) or the same cutting profile in a 1/2-in. shank bit (50-501; $12.90).
