New 12-in. XACTA™ Saw from JET

JET recently unveiled its new
12-in. XACTA™ Cabinet Saw to us at the IWF trade show in Atlanta (see the video by
clicking here), and now the saw is available to the general public. The machine is equipped with a 5hp single-phase TEFC motor that transfers power to the blade through a poly V-belt to reduce slippage. Changing blades and performing routine maintenance tasks is easier, thanks to an integrated arbor lock and hinged motor cover.
But what really sets this big 630-lb. table saw apart from the competition is its 80-in. precision-ground, all cast-iron tabletop and extension table. The ample cast-iron offers maximum density for smoother sawing and a dead-flat general work surface when not in use. The left-tilting saw also comes with a 40-1/2-in. commercial-grade XACTA rip fence that slides 50 inches to the right of the blade and 14 inches to the left to accommodate oversized workpieces and sheet goods.
A dust collection shroud surrounds the blade inside the cabinet and directs dust through an integrated hose to a 4-in. external dust port. Also included is a deluxe miter gauge with adjustable positive stops to support crosscuts and mitering operations. A dado insert and external tool and fence storage come standard, too.
This machine is covered by a five-year JET Red Assurance warranty program. The JTAS-12-DX 12-in. XACTA Saw has a street price of $4,700. Learn more about it by clicking here. Or visit
