Bosch FNS138-23 Pin NailerBosch has now entered the 23-gauge pin nailer market with its new FNS138-23 Pin Nailer. But, unlike the competition, this is the first pinner that features Zero-Nail™ dry fire lockout, which eliminates blank firing. It's a handy feature that both ensures a fastener is driven and extends the life of the gun: if the gun doesn't fire, the magazine is empty; if it fires, a fastener has been driven. For added convenience, a viewing window on the side of the tool's magazine indicates when a nail clip is close to being depleted. Bosch has also incorporated a narrow nose, slim gun profile and stepped magazine to improve line-of-sight accuracy as well as maneuverability when nailing in confined quarters.

An optimized drive system allows the gun to produce 10 percent more power, which helps to countersink longer fasteners. The nailer is capable of driving any brand of pin nails up to 1-3/8 inches. Bosch's new FNS138-23 comes with a carry case, no-mar tip, a 1/4-in. air fitting and safety goggles. It is available through authorized dealers now for $159.
