Rob PortraitLast week, I spent several days at the International Woodworking Fair down in Atlanta, Georgia. (Check out our IWF 2012 Video Blog.) It was like many shows that I've been to ... I found new products to look at, old friends to reconnect with and miles of aisles to wear down my shoe leather. But this year, there was something at the show that had been missing for a few years: a spirit of optimism. Although it was paired with a degree of caution, many folks I talked to spoke of better times to come, based on recent improvements in their business. Here is to better times and cool new woodworking products! I think we are all ready for both.

P.S. A while back, we recruited woodturners for a "contest" in the print magazine. Click on our Today's Woodworker department in this eZine to find out who won. And go get a copy of our September/October print issue to see the rest of the story.
