A limb from my beautiful pecan tree broke off during a storm.  It fell, piercing my neighbor's carport roof and damaging the grill of her car.  I salvaged the limb to make lumber which turned out to be spalted.  Using a pattern and adding a bit of walnut, I made a box to present to her with apologies for the inconvenience and damage.  She was thrilled.
