This submission is called a 'Picket Planter'. It is made of 'left over' the ends of cedar picket, originally used to repair our fence.

The planter itself was purchased at our local store. It is easy to build and very attractive. It has four casters on the bottom for mobility and is painted with white acrylic exterior latex paint.  Inexpensive.  Neighbors love it. - Marc Swadener
