The soft rubber vacuum hose fitting that came with my new orbital sander fell apart the first time I used it. Instead of replacing it (and inviting the same result), I took a piece of PVC pipe, softened one end with a heat gun, and slipped it over the exhaust fitting on the sander. I inserted the other end into a standard vacuum hose coupling. Mine fit great, but if yours is not a tight fit, wrap a few turns of electrical tape around the end of the pipe to snug it up. - Richard Morris, Lighthouse Point, Florida
