Robie House Lighting Sconce
Issue:
Issue 307
Posted Date:
8/14/2012
I made the sconces based on the Robie House dining room sconces. First I did CAD drawings of the original sconce and built 2 of them to prove the design (first photo below). Then I built the version I designed as you see in the photos. I made some out of red oak and some out of Honduran mahogany. I have designed and built many different Prairie Style lighting fixtures and furniture, but the Robie sconce was always my favorite light fixture ever.
