Sharpening Planer Blades

Q: Now that I finally bought a planer, I was wondering how often I will have to sharpen the blades.
Ron Zoney: I sharpen mine whenever they get dull.
Ed Deema: In our shop we sharpen the blades about once a week. Of course, that may be different for you.
