Well, my wife insisted that I build her a bookcase based on a Japanese theme or design.  So I dreamt up this item which is based on a Torii gate.  All the angles were cut with the saw blade set at 10 degrees except for the ends of the top piece which were set at 5 degrees.  A bit of a challenge for a pure amateur like myself but my wife is happy.  Nothing else matters!
