Walnut Armoire

This is a walnut armoire.  I designed and built it for a lady that collects little jars of face makeup.  Altogether she has around 500 jars.

The case is made with raised panels, as are the doors in the front.  I drew the feet out and made a pattern so I could get them right.  The fancy scroll piece in the bottom front is something I have been using on all of my fine pieces for years.

The case has six web frames and the slides and runners are all handmade.  They work very smooth.

The finish on it is tung oil, three coats, and then, two coats of wipe-on polyurethane.
