Your Best Shop Organization Practice?
Issue: Issue 344

As the end of January approached, we asked the Woodworker's Journal Facebook community about one of those resolution-ready buzzwords (organization) by posing the question "What's the most helpful piece of organization you've implemented in your shop?" - Editor
Some people focused on paper.
"A set of plans hanging on the wall." - Jason W.
Or an attempt to go paperless.
"Recycle bin, 3-ring binders and paperless mentality as much as possible!" - Fine Furnishings Show
There was a comment related to tools.
"Wheels so I can drag stuff into and out of the way." - Jim M.
One on the wood itself.
"Keeping sizes of wood in check. Everything in place helps get things done." - Marty R.
And a few different names, and methods, for "File 13."
"A garbage can." - Scott S.
"Wood stove. I have no mistakes now." - Paul O.
"Keep what I really use and donate the rest." - Chris Marshall
And, we heard from at least one woodworker who illustrates why the same resolutions just might recur next year...
"Organization in my shop? Maybe someday, but right now it looks like a bomb went off." - Dennis E.
