60+ years ago my late grandfather cut down walnut trees on his farm in Missouri. He used this board to make cabinets in the kitchen. The farm was sold and was to be turned into a subdivision.

This board was salvaged and sat in his barn on new property for 20+ years. I made this to give to my mother as a birthday present, from grandfather to grandson back to mother. My mother grew up seeing this as a cabinet in kitchen and now has something of that old farmhouse to bring back the memories of her father and growing up.
