Rockler has introduced a larger, gallon-sized version of its original (quart-sized) Mixing Mate™Paint Lid. The new size (item number 44170) functions in the same manner as the smaller version: four cam locks create a tight seal to the can; after it's locked, the user cranks the handle clockwise for approximately 30 seconds to completely mix the paint or finish. The pouring handle has a spring-loaded thumb trigger that allows one-handed operation, similar to a maple syrup dispenser. The spring-loaded spout seals itself for storage after you've finished pouring. Mixing Mate can be reused and transferred to other cans. the gallon-sized Mixing Mate is priced at $19.99.
