Sixteenth Annual Wharton Esherick Museum Thematic Woodworking Competition & Exhibition

Through the annual thematic woodworking competitions, the Museum seeks to encourage creative thinking and the development of new and imaginative designs for items for everyday use. The theme is based on utilitarian items such as those to which Esherick applied his unique sense of design and craftsmanship. The subject for 2009 is side chairs.
