Company Description:
Cabinetmakers perform hand and machine operations in cutting, shaping and assembling store fixtures, office equipment, kitchen cabinets, custom furniture, and other articles made of wood or wood substitutes. Plastic laminates and panels are becoming a strong portion of the industry. Cabinetmakers cut, form, and apply laminates to products. Cabinetmakers operate circle saws, planers, jointers, mortisers, bandsaws, tenoners, molders, shapers, routers, drill presses, sanders, and other tools. Working to exact dimensions and specifications is a necessary skill. Working with fractions, decimals and simple algebraic formulas, reading blueprints and understanding layout and design are part of the cabinetmaker's skill.
