Westport Chair: The Adirondack Chair's big brother, this classic outdoor design
incorporates a modern material: specially thermo-treated wood designed
to withstand rugged outdoor use.
Slide-Out Media Center: Tired of awkwardly reaching behind your entertainment center to attach
all those wires? The design of this Slide-Out Media Center cleverly
solves that problem with enormous slides, moving parts -- and an
entertainment center that's still quite capable of bearing 500-lb.
loads.
Occasional Table: Boatbuilding techniques add both fancy and function to this occasional
table (and prevent things from rolling off in earthquake country). With
instructions for varying the height and the shelf placement, this little
table adapts to any spot where you need a storage solution.
Eccentric Turning: Mark Sfirri's off-kilter turnings grace national museums - and the pages
of this magazine. The woodturning fan of asymmetry shares his stories,
inspirations, and tips on multi-axis turnings.
Power Planers: Power planers act as a combination of planer and jointer, allowing you
to take tackle tasks outside of the shop. A.J. Hamler teaches you what
to look for in these big boys, plus how to stay safe and keep them in
good working order.
Stacked Dado Blades: After adding the accessories to his saw, Chris Marshall took eight
premium stacked dado blade sets to the test: three different materials,
at least 25 cross-grain cuts per set, and more tasks added up to a tool
review that tells you the details of the dadoes -- including his
difficult decision on who made the top cut.
