Fix the Fence or Replace the Saw?

Fix the Fence or Replace the Saw?

I have a 23-year-old Craftsman table saw that is in great shape and cuts fine, but I would like to improve the fence system. The aftermarket systems I have seen run well over $250, which in my opinion is too expensive. I would rather buy a new Delta contractors saw that already has all the bells and whistles I would like. My problem is I can’t bring myself to get rid of my old friend as there is nothing wrong with it and it looks like new (I take great care of it). Does anyone know of an affordable after market improved fence system I could put on my saw? Or would you have an opinion on any of the aftermarket fence systems that is a good value whatever the price is?

Michael Dresdner: Personally, I like the Biesemeyer-type fence, such as the one sold by HTC. Granted, fences are fairly expensive, but they can make or break a table saw.
