Heart-Shaped Box (18:1:54)
Heart-Shaped Box (18:1:54) This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 18, Issue 1, Page 54. Jan/Feb 1994.

This is a variant on the traditional bandsaw box: it features a removeable wooden key that keeps everything secure inside, and the interior is just drilled out with large Forstner bits (there are three compartments), instead of the usual band saw cut. The design was actually discovered in a 2,400 year-old shipwreck recently recovered off the coast of Isreal, so it's certainly withstood the test of time!

Approx: 4-1/2" each way
