This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 17, Issue 5, Page 36. Sep/Oct 1993. This is a top quality heirloom piece that requires considerable experience
and a large array of tools. The original was built in Berea College, Kentucky
and sold in 1993 for $5,500! The entire front face of this impressive chest
- including the drawer fronts - is band sawn from thicker stock. The drawers
are assembled with dovetails, and even the feet present a challenge, being band
sawed after assembly. Thoroughly enjoyable, especially for anyone seeking a
true challenge.
Approx: 20-1/2" x 32-3/4" x 29-1/4"
