This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 6, Issue 3, Page 26. May/Jun 1982. Here's a very traditional lathe project - a spindle-sided cradle that lulls
a child to sleep with its lazy swinging motion. The construction here is quite
a lot easier than one might thing: steel bolts and hardwood dowels provide most
of the joinery strength. The plan provides a locking pin for those times when
the swinging action is not needed.
