This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 46. May/Jun 1990. Each of these stackable shoe racks holds two rows of shoes (so it's about eight
pairs, total). They are exceedingly simple to build: just cut the parts to size,
pop a few dowel pins in place, predrill for screws and drive them home. Adjusting
the width to match your closet is a no-brainer: just don't go over about 3 feet
wide as they may sag a little over the years. Try two narrow racks instead.
Shelves
Approx: 11-3/4'' x 5-1/2'' x 36'' wide
