This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 32. Jul/Aug 1990. It looks like a simple, primitive cupboard - and that's exactly what it is!
The top slants back a little to give it the right sense of proportion, while
the shelves are surrounded by a simple molding. Below, a large storage compartment
waits behind a single flush-mounted door, and a small crown molding caps the
top. The joinery is very straightforward - mostly butt joints except for a couple
of tenons on the doors - and the moldings are all mitered.
