This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 15, Issue 6, Page 46. Nov/Dec 1991. We sized this sturdy desk and chair for a child about 4 years old, but the
dimensions are easy to change for a taller child. It has a large cubby hole
for books, four containers for pencils and crayons, and pretty much all that's
required to build it is a table saw, a scroll or jig saw, and a drill. The top
is gently sloped for comfort and the bench has handles to make it easier to
pick up and store after a hard session at the "office". A charming
project well within most woodworkers' abilities.
Approx: 18" x 24" x 22" tall.
