This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 13, Issue 5, Page 46. Sep/Oct 1989. The plan calls for a single letter tray stacked on a single legal-sized tray,
but you can make as many of either size as you like using this very clever and
quite simple stacking mechanism. The joinery is elegant - just dadoes and grooves
- but be aware that you'll need to acquire or plane some 1/4'' solid hardwood
stock.
