This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 17, Issue 5, Page 50. Sep/Oct 1993. Here's a traditional farmhouse table with turned legs and a good-sized cutlery/placemat
drawer on each end. The table seats up to eight hungry hands. If you choose
a hardwood veneered plywood for the top (with hardwood edging), and buy the
legs already turned from a catalog, this could easily be a one-weekend project.
Sharpen your chisels for the very simple mortise and tenon joinery, and fire
up the router for the dovetailed drawers and you're halfway there.
Approx: 36" x 72" x 30" tall.
