This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 12, Issue 6, Page 48. Nov/Dec 1988. What a handsome piece! This walnut and ash cradle may have some modern lines,
but it performs its function as well as any of its namesakes through the ages.
This is not a very difficult project: it calls for a fair amount of band saw
and router work, some basic mortise and tenon joints, and slats instead of spindles.
Knockdown fasteners make it easy to set up and store, and a template routing
technique cuts way down on the sanding.
Approx: 24-1/2" x 40-1/2" x 46" tall
