This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 17, Issue 1, Page 54. Jan/Feb 1993. Keep pens, pencils and notepaper handy by the phone with this very easily built
message center. There's even a 12" square board to write notes to the kids
in erasable marker. Construction is splined miters and simple butt joints with
plugged screws. An optional carving adorns the top of the unit, and the writing
surface is sloped slightly to make writing a little more comfortable.
