This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 17, Issue 6, Page 53. Nov/Dec 1993. Looking for the perfect holiday gift for the lady in your life? This handsome
contemporary jewelry box features bird's-eye maple with a padauk frame around
the lid, plus splashes of padauk color in the corners and handle. Construction
is a lot simpler than one might imagine. This is definitely doable in a weekend.
Both the box and the lid call for miter joints with splines, and the outside
faces of the walls are coved using a clever trick on the table saw.
Approx: 8-3/4" x 14-1/2" x 4" tall.
