This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 10, Issue 1, Page 40. Jan/Feb 1986.Although it incorporates a few angled cuts, the construction of this handsome
and very comfortable bench is relatively straightforward. Except for the slats,
the entire bench is crafted from standard 3/4" hardwood - preferably red
oak. The pegged through tenons on the ends of the stretcher add something special
to an already well-proportioned, attractive piece of furniture.
