This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 9, Issue 5, Page 60. Sep/Oct 1985. The Hancock Shaker Village in Massachusetts is home to the original upon which
this plan is based. It was a sewing cabinet made from pine, with butternut drawer
fronts. Six small drawers provide ample storage space for thread, needles, pins
and other paraphenalia. The joinery is quite basic, and most woodworkers will
have little trouble completing the box. Note the large turned knob on the top,
used as a carrying handle.
Approx: 8" x 9" x 16" tall
