Designed to hold about 100 hardback books on its three lower shelves and a
few decorative accessories (candlesticks, photos etc.) on the top shelf, the
style of this sturdy bookcase lies somewhere between classic Chippendale pieces
and the country furniture that evolved from early colonial pieces. Overall dimensions
are 37-1/2" wide by 43" high and 10-1/4" deep. The shelves are
not adjustable: measure your books before you rout the dadoes for them. A good
project for most skill levels, it does involve a little band saw and router
