Positioning Your Outlets

Positioning Your Outlets

I thought having a 4′ long multi-outlet strip on the wall behind my work surface would be the bees knees for the first workbench I built. I soon learned what a pain it was to have cords interfering with my work surface. A far better approach is to have a power outlet BELOW the work surface on the front of the workbench (on the right if right-handed, on the left if you’re a lefty) and positioned so the plug is inserted by pushing toward the wall. That arrangement made me a Happy Guy!
