Outdoor planters are a great way to spruce up your yard or patio. At garden centers they can be expensive and, frankly, a little boring to look at. In this video, we teach you how to create an easy to build, yet elegant, cedar planter. You can make it using a table saw and 1 x 12 red cedar. Not only do we teach you how to make this nicely tapered planter — but we throw in lessons on waterproof glues and the golden ratio to boot!
