The Screwdriver/Tape Measure: a Great Duet?

The Screwdriver/Tape Measure: a Great Duet?

Strawberries and cream. Abbott and Costello. Mortise and tenon. Some things just go together. Like…screwdrivers and tape measures?

Well, Great Neck Saw apparently thinks so. They’ve come out with a Magnetic Ratcheting Screwdriver with Built-in Tape Measure. The ratcheting is meant to reduce the amount of time spent removing and resetting the 1/4″ screwdriver in the screw, while the magnetic tip keeps the screwdriver head from slipping off its task. When it’s time to measure, just pull the 39″ tape measure out of the handle.

The screwdriver comes with slotted screwdriver heads in 3/16″, 1/4″ and 5/16″, and Phillips heads in #1, #2 and #3. It also includes star bits in T-10 and T-15 and metric hexes in 3,4, 5 and 6.

The Magnetic Ratcheting Screwdriver sells for about $12; you can find out more at www.greatnecksaw.com.
