“Tooteth” Your Own Horn

Rob-Portrait351

My father had a unique relationship with the English language. As part of that relationship he had a lot of memorable sayings — most of which would be inappropriate to share here. But one comes to mind as I write this editorial:

“He who tooteth not his own horn, hath not his own horn tooted.” (That’s my dad!)

Why I bring this up now is because the Woodworker’s Journal has a new DVD that we are bringing to market. It’s called Mastering The Table Saw, and it stars me as one of the on-screen experts. You can find out more about the DVD in the Industry Interview, but please allow me to say that it is a very informative and highly useful DVD, for novices and experts alike. (Toot, TOOT!)

And while I must admit I am a better woodworker than movie star, I can heartily recommend the DVD, and I hope that if you buy one, you will let me know what you think of it. Then I will go back to the kind of tooting that just makes my dog sneeze.
