Versatile Bench Clamping

Versatile Bench Clamping

My recently done woodworking bench has dog holes and the sort of stuff I wish I had years ago, but my general purpose (wood and metal) bench doesn’t, so I found that a Record adjustable dog that is normally supposed to have an iron socket, can be held securely in a bench side vise, has a big reach and can clamp rather high objects, or off vertical,  with very little fussing. It can also be held in a machinists or a blacksmith’s vise at odd angles, giving extra versatility. -Richard Stein
