Tip-Top Secret
By the time you are reading this, I will be at an undisclosed location in Northern Minnesota, stalking the wily large-mouth bass. Woodworkers are known for their generosity in sharing information about sources: “I just found some red oak selling for $0.75 a board foot! It’s over at blah, blah blah.” Fishermen, not so much. I am sure that you have heard the old saying, “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and you’ve created a liar.”
Sadly, old sayings often have more than a little truth in them. So I can’t actually tell you the exact place that I am catching all those bass. (Well I could, but you would be foolish to believe me — see “old saying” above.)
But I can tell you that I will be catching them on lures that I turned myself. As you can imagine, I’m sure, this adds a good degree of emphasis to the bragging that attends each new fish caught. (Another bit of fishing behavior that is not very attractive … but is a lot of fun!)
So, I will see you next time. And the truth will not be in me.

Sewing Cabinet
This is a sewing cabinet that I built on a commission for some friends of ours. It is made of Walnut plywood for the flat panels in the top and rear drop leaf and solid walnut for all other parts such as the raised panel door, breadboard ends, etc.
